Opinion

This Is an Issue of Public Health

by Andrew Fiscus

I am a general dentist practicing here in Boulder for the past five years. Previously, I worked for the Indian Health Service in Fairbanks, Alaska. During my time in Alaska, I visited several small villages primarily to see children. It was my experience that I could tell whether a village had fluoridated water by looking at two or three children’s teeth. From this small sample of the community, the difference in visible cavities was outstanding. I am a proponent of fluoridating water. Please understand that the benefits of fluoride are immense. Vote No on 2B and help keep Boulder healthy
